I am a single parent with three children (10,8,6). I have every two weeks. I'm starting one year after my divorce to date. I felt it was important for children and I to the times of healing and reconstruction. Now that I'm open to leaving I approached a single woman without children. I have heard many horror stories of single parents dating single people. I want to do well. I know I will be a committed relationship. My children are well behaved, respectful note obtained, the children attending Sunday school who say yes, yes, ma'am, sir. They want "to have someone go to the movies with him." They know I want. Does anyone have wisdom to share that. What to avoid, which absolutely no, what to prepare .... Has anyone done so and failed, or what he does and is successful and you want to share how / why? I would love some ideas and tips experts.

There are people unable to have children they want. And there are not those who think they want. Only to discover they can not cope with it. Keep a complete and always honest, including your children in their decisions is the best policy. I dated a few men without children. Two did not work at all, because the control problems, insecurties and simply because I could not understand something they have never faced before. Then I dated a man who had no children when was 2. I've always been quite clear to him that my children are one of the most important things in my life and I first arrived in most situations. That his opinions were always considered and appreciated but final decisions were mine and their parents. There are many obstacles in this relationship. Do not allow your partner to play the game of guilt. And always look around for their children. Do not allow children to control the relationship. Because they will try, trust me. It is difficult times.But balance can be done. Parenting is one of the hardest things I had to do let alone try to maintain a healthy realtionship with another adult. Moreover, the man who left no children ... We have four of us now.
